Bremshey Orbit Explorer Elliptical Trainer Review
We have not yet had the opportunity to properly review the Bremshey Orbit Explorer Elliptical Trainer , but hope to be able to very soon.
The Bremshey Orbit Explorer elliptical trainer is a quality machine, which is what you’d expect from the manufacturers who also make Tunturi.
Please note the model we’re reviewing here is the
new 2008 model.
The first thing you notice with this model is the incredibly smooth action – a very important factor in choosing an elliptical trainer. This 2008 model has a 19″ stride length that increases the benefit of each training session as you can work your muscles in a wider range of motion.
The pedals are a good size and we felt no foot slippage during use.
With this model Bremshey have introduced a new breaking system for quick and smooth changes of resistance to increase your work rate. This can be changed with one touch of a button on the console or automatically by any one of the 22 programmes.
These include a constant work rate by duration, heart rate controlled for getting into the fat-burning zone, variations of resistance or setting your own up to a total of 4. Variation is the key to success in achieving your fitness goals and the range of programmes on this model will certainly help. You can also analyse your body fat percentageso you have another measurement to track your progress.
Your pulse can be measured by grips in either sets of handles, however please note the measurement is not as accurate as using a chest strap. The Orbit Explorer does have a chip to record readings from a chest strap but you’ll have to buy it if you want to use one as it’s not included – they’re around £25, you can see one here at SweatBandFitness
Our score : 8.0 ( out of 10 ) A quality machine with some great features.
We found it fairly easy to move around thanks to the transport wheels fitted at the front, although if they had been a bit bigger it would have made the task even easier.

Bremshey Orbit Explorer Elliptical Trainer - Console / Display Unit
The console was easy to read with its colour LCD back light display. You can see your time, distance, speed, RPM, how much energy you used, the training power in watts plus your heart rate - so pretty much everything you need to know when training. From our experience of working with many clients knowing this information can help when you're getting tired. To see how many calories you've burnt and how far you've gone can inspire you to keep going to the end of your programme. The buttons were easy to operate which is essential for an elliptical trainer because you can lose your momentum if you've got one hand off the handles for long.
